He’s best known for his role as Blaine Anderson on TV’s Glee. Now Darren Criss begins a limited engagement filling the shoes of Daniel Radcliffe in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.
Criss made his debut as J. Pierrepont Finch last night at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre. He joined newcomer Beau Bridges who takes over for John Larroquette as J.B. Biggley. But unlike Bridges, Criss’ role ends on January 22nd, to make room for Nick Jonas who will assume the role on January 24th.
This debut of this latest revival of the famous Broadway musical marked the 50th anniversary of the original production. With the aid of a trusty self-help book How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, wily window washer J. Pierrepont Finch enjoys a riotous rise up the corporate ladder. Can he get the promotion, the corner office and the girl, or will he learn that balancing business and pleasure can be precarious – but hilarious – and oh, so much fun?
