Austin Powers On Broadway? Yeah, baby!

He’s the International Man of Mystery and now Austin Powers may be headed for the Great White Way. Word has it that creator Mike Myers is in talks to bring the popular film series to the stage, though we’re told that he does not plan to star in the Broadway adaptation.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery first hit cinemas in 1997. The sequel, The Spy Who Shagged Me, followed in 1999, and then Goldmember hit the big screen in 2002. The three films grossed nearly $700 million worldwide.

And even as Myers discusses a trip to Broadway for his 1960s secret agent, he’s reportedly also working on a fourth Austin Powers film, speculated to hit the screen in 2013 or 2014.

While no dates, theater or cast have been released for the possible Broadway production, you can be sure that we’ll have details here as they are released.
