Folks of a certain age will remember Darlene Love for 1960s pop hits like “He’s A Rebel” and “Da Doo Ron Ron.” But on December 9th, she joins the cast of Broadway’s Million Dollar Quartet for a musical one night stand that promises to be unforgettable!
Love, who teamed up with legendary producer Phil Spector, had a string of hits in the 1960s. She also lent her powerful voice to background tracks for icons like Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Dionne Warwick, Tom Jones and many others. But on the 9th, she helps tell the story of the famous 1956 recording session that brought together Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis.
Darline Love is no stranger to The Great White Way, mind you. She has appeared in Hairspray, Carrie, Leader of the Pack and Grease. But for one night, she will be on stage for a special performance during Million Dollar Quartet’s musical finale.
