We told you this past April that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was headed to Broadway to star in the 50th anniversary revival of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. We’re happy to report that the 20 year old star has found a theatrical home at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on New York’s West 45th Street.
The story of overly ambitious 27 year old New York window washer J. Pierpont Finch, to be played by Radcliffe, first debuted at Broadway’s 46th Street Theatre in October of 1961. It played more than 1400 performances and won a whopping seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It was adapted to the big screen in 1967 with original Broadway star Robert Morse playing the lead role.
Previews for How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying begin at the Hirschfeld on February 26, 2011, with opening night set for March 27th.
